The NSW Government has delivered on its election commitment to make Bathurst Fire Station a 24-hours a day, seven-day-a-week community asset.\"The Government has provided an additional 10 firefighters for Bathurst to ensure we deliver on our election commitment,\" Minister Gallacher said.\"The additional ten full-time firefighters will allow Bathurst Fire Station to be staffed around-the-clock, offering additional protection to residents and businesses in the Western region.\"This boost represents a $1.94 million commitment which was announced during the September State Budget.\"This is a big win for the local community, which has requested permanent firefighters to be stationed around-the-clock at Bathurst.\"I am also delighted to announce the delivery of an additional fire truck which has a foam system to fight chemical and petrol fires which is a welcome boost to staff and the community,\" Minister Gallacher said.\"Today the Government is also pleased to announce today a $15,000 grant to enhance facilities for Bogee Rural Fire Service.\"These are desperately needed funds for local resources with the onset of the summer fire season,\" Minister Gallacher said.Fire & Rescue NSW Commissioner Greg Mullins said last financial year Bathurst Fire Station responded to 690 emergencies and conducted 460 community safety activities.\"The additional resources at the Bathurst Fire station including the new fire engine are a great addition to the resource capabilities of Fire and Rescue NSW,\" Commissioner Mullins said.Minister Gallacher said he was determined to provide the resources to regional and rural communities that were denied by Labor for 16 years...
