Permanent (full-time) firefighters
Permanent firefighters are full-time firefighters who stay at the fire station. They are usually based around highly populated areas. Recruitment is on a yearly basis.
On-call firefighters
On-call firefighters respond from home or work to the fire station when there is an emergency. Recruitment is all year round based upon your closest fire station.
