Acetylene Incident - Muswellbrook

Around 25 people were evacuated from a power station near Muswelbrook following an acetylene cylinder fire this morning.

At 10.31 am four local fire crews from Newcastle, Muswellbrook and Muscle Creek attended the power station on the New England Highway where the cylinder had caught fire.

Fire crews safely immobilised the cylinder and no injuries have been reported.
