Unit fire - Dee Why

Shortly after 1pm this afternoon Fire and Rescue NSW crews attended a unit fire on Avon Rd, Dee Why.
Upon arrival crews found the unit was heavily smoke logged and were able to quickly extinguish the fire which is believed to have started in the kitchen.
A 78 year old woman was inside the home at the time of the fire. She was treated on scene for smoke inhalation and transported to hospital via NSW Ambulance.
