Multiple Fire and Rescue NSW crews battling service station inferno - Campbelltown

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews are battling to contain a major fire at a service station in Campbelltown, in Sydney's south-west.

The blaze broke out at the business on Lindesay Street, near Dan Street, just after 10:15pm, with staff immediately calling Triple Zero (000).

More than 60 FRNSW firefighters and 16 fire trucks have so far been called in to attack the '4th Alarm' fire.

Early reports indicate that the main building is well alight and has partially collapsed.

A petrol tanker, three cars and several LPG cylinders are also engulfed in flames.

Smoke has also been issuing from a nearby liquor store which is currently under threat.

Firefighting operations are expected to continue well into the night.

Road closures are in place and the public is urged to avoid the area.
