The footage features the firefighters, ambulance paramedics, doctors, engineers and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) personnel checking into FRNSW's Emergency Services Academy at Orchard Hills in Sydney's west, undergoing COVID-19 tests and medical examinations; receiving their specialist kit and receiving a briefing from FRNSW Commissioner Paul Baxter from Kingscliff on the state's far North Coast where he formally opened a new fire station just as the deployment was confirmed.

The personnel then boarded buses overnight for ultimate deployment overseas.
