Fire and Rescue NSW rescues pet cat from fire-ravaged home - VIDEO - Concord

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have rescued a cat from a burning home today at Concord, in Sydney's inner west.
The single-level property on Broughton Street, near Gipps Street, was otherwise unoccupied when flames threatened to engulf it just after 11am.
Neighbours immediately called Triple-Zero (000) to alert emergency services.
FRNSW deployed 25 firefighters and six fire trucks to the scene.
Fire crews forced their way inside the home and carried the pet to safety before the fire took hold.
Part of the home collapsed as it sustained significant fire damage.
The blaze has since been extinguished.
FRNSW's Fire Investigation and Research Unit (FIRU) has been notified as experts work to determine where and how the fire started.
The cat is now in the care of a family friend, who is taking to a nearby vet for precautionary medical checks.
