Unit fire - Blacktown

Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to a unit on Sackville St, Blacktown just after 2.50pm this afternoon following reports of smoke inside the building.

Upon arrival firefighters were able to extinguish a fire which started in the kitchen after cooking was left unattended.

One resident was home at the time of the fire and is being treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for smoke inhalation.
