Rescue Incident - Hornsby

Just after 10.30am this morning, Fire and Rescue NSW were called to a walking track just off the Pacific Highway, Hornsby following reports a bushwalker had been injured.

In a multi agency response, NSW Ambulance crews located a women in her 50s along the Mountain Back Trail and treated her injured ankle.

Once the patient was stabilised, crews from Hornsby and Gordon Fire Stations were able to use specialist rescue equipment to carry the woman to a nearby road, before she was transported to hospital for further treatment.
