Kitchen Fire - Kingscliff

Just after 12.30pm, Fire and Rescue NSW were called to a fire at a building on Cudgen Rd, Kingscliff.

Firefighters from Tweed Heads Fire Station arrived on scene to find a fire which had started in the kitchen of an education facility.

More than 30 staff and students at the facility were evacuated however no injuries were reported.

Firefighters managed to quickly extinguish the fire and ventilated the kitchen before allowing evacuated persons to return.
