Industrial Bin Fire - Wyoming

Just after 11:30am this morning, Fire and Rescue NSW responded to a commercial site on the Pacific Highway, Wyoming after a Triple Zero (000) caller reported a fire in a large industrial waste bin.

Crews from Wyoming Fire Station arrived shortly after and found a large industrial cardboard compacting bin was well alight behind a grocery store.

Firefighters worked to control the blaze, before emptying the remaining cardboard from the bin to complete extinguishment.

As a result of the fire, approximately 50 people were evacuated from the grocery store until the site was rendered safe.
