Truck Fire - Camden South

Just after 8:45am, Fire and Rescue NSW received multiple calls to Triple Zero (000) reporting a truck alight on Cowper Drive, Camden South.

Crews from Camden Fire Station arrived on scene within minutes to find a garbage trucks load had caught alight and was engulfed in flames.

The driver of the truck was able to empty the load of rubbish onto a safe area of the road and firefighters worked to contain the fire.

Once extinguished, crews rendered the area safe, working with Camden Council to remove the rubbish pile.

No injuries where sustained as a result of the incident.
