Hang Glider Rescue - Collaroy

Just before 1pm, Fire and Rescue NSW received a report that a hang glider had reportedly fallen off a cliff at Long Reef Headland, off Anzac Avenue, Collaroy.

On arrival, crews from Narrabeen Fire Station located the paraglider more than sixty metres down the cliff face. Firefighters, assisted by NSW Ambulance paramedics climbed down the cliff for more than thirty minutes to access the injured man.

Crews administered first aid to the injured paraglider and prepared him for transportation by helicopter to hospital for further treatment.
