Building Fire - Bilbul

Shortly before 3pm Fire and Rescue NSW responded to an incident on Burley Griffin Way, Bilbul after receiving multiple Triple Zero (000) calls with reports of a large shed alight.

Crews from Yenda, Griffith and Leeton Fire Stations arrived on scene to find a commercial shed engulfed in fire with large volumes of black smoke issuing from the roof.

Firefighters from Fire and Rescue NSW and the Rural Fire Service are working to extinguish the blaze. Crews have set up protection lines around a nearby Power Plant.

Hazardous material experts from Leeton Fire Station are on scene as there is unknown chemicals stored in the affected premises.

No injuries have been reported although NSW Ambulance are in attendance as a precaution.

NSW Police are in attendance with investigations into the cause of the fire ongoing
