Fire and Rescue NSW crews ready to respond as heavy weather front moves north of Sydney -

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews across the state are continuing to assist flood emergency efforts as the dangerous weather system moves north of Sydney.
FRNSW is working very closely with the State Emergency Service which is leading the flood response.
As well as the ongoing operations in floodwaters in Sydney, FRNSW crews are standing by, ready to deal with rising water levels in and around Singleton in the Hunter Valley; near Bellingen and Port Macquarie on the mid-north coast; and around Tuggerah Lakes on the Central Coast.
A major flood warning has been issued for the Lower Hunter River and Wollombi Brook at Bulga, Wollombi, Maitland and Singleton.
Flooding continues in the Hawkesbury-Nepean, Macquarie, Bell, Wollombi Brook, Lower Hunter and Tuggerah Lakes catchments.
Communities are encouraged to stay up to date with the latest Weather Bureau forecasts and warnings via the Bureau's website and follow the advice of emergency services.
A FRNSW crew from Aberdeen in the Hunter Valley assisted in the search for four missing children on the outskirts of Broke, near Singleton, last night.
Poor weather prevented the crew activating its Remotely Piloted Aviation System (RPAS) or drone to search from the air but SES ground crews located the children, all in a good condition, in a paddock.
Authorities are appealing to parents to ensure their children are safe as dangerous weather conditions persist during the school holidays.
