Aircraft Crash - Cootamundra

Just before 2:30pm, Fire and Rescue NSW were alerted to a plane that had crashed into a paddock, on Lismore Road, Cootamundra.

Crews from Cootamundra Fire Station arrived to find a crop sprayer had lost control and crashed, bringing down overhead powerlines on the way down.

Upon arrival firefighters established that approximately 100L of petrol was leaking out of the wing of the plane, the engine of the plane has also dislodged and was leaking oil onto the ground.

NSW Ambulance have assessed the pilot on scene, however no injuries were reported.
