Building Fire - Tweed Heads

Just after 5pm, Wednesday 23 September, multiple Fire and Rescue NSW crews from the Northern Rivers Region responded to an incident on Ourimbah Road, Tweed Heads after a Triple Zero (000) caller reported a building fire.

Crews arrived on scene to find smoke issuing from a two storey commercial building with the fire believed to have started in the laundry on the ground floor.

Firefighters from both Fire and Rescue NSW and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services worked to quickly extinguish the blaze however the unit was significantly damaged. Other units on the property were also affected by smoke and heat damage.

NSW Ambulance paramedics were also on scene however no injuries were reported.
