Fire at Service Station - Willoughby

At 1:30pm today, Fire and Rescue NSW were called to a service station on the corner of Willoughby and Mowbray Road, Willoughby, after repeated calls to Triple Zero (000) reporting a workshop fire.

Crows Nest, Neutral Bay and Lane Cove Fire Stations responded to the incident and arrived to find smoke issuing from the workshop. Firefighters managed to gain control of the blaze quickly and contain it to one room of the workshop.

Traffic was heavily affected for a number of hours with lane closures on Willoughby Rd and Mowbray Rd however this has since been cleared.

NSW Ambulance were also in attendance and treated one male who was transported to hospital.
