Lady rescued from heater fire - Doonside

Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Blacktown and Schofields Fire Stations have responded to Knox Road, Doonside after reports of a house fire.

Crews arrived just before 6:50pm and were informed people may still be inside.

Fire fighters gained entry to a smoke filled house and rescued one elderly female.

After the fire was extinguished, crews cleared the smoke from the house and rendered safe.

It was confirmed the fire was caused by a heater.

NSW Ambulance treated two people for smoke inhalation.
