Restaurant Fire - Caringbah

Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Cronulla, Miranda and Sutherland Fire Stations are currently on the scene of a fire in a restaurant on Mansfield Avenue, Caringbah.

Crews were alerted to the incident after a Triple Zero (000) reported thick black smoke coming from the roof of the building.

Crews arrived to find a fire in the flue from the kitchen of the restaurant and worked quickly to extinguish the blaze.

Crew are currently working to check that the fire has not spread to the roof of the building and surveying damage caused.

NSW Ambulance are on the scene treating two patients for smoke inhalation. No further injuries have been reported.
