House Fire - Bass Hill

Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to a home on Doust Street, Bass Hill shortly before 6am this morning after reports of a house fire.

Upon arrival crews from Chester Hill and Bankstown found a single level house well alight with flames coming through the roof.

Six trucks from across the Inner West attended the incident.

Crews worked to extinguish the blaze until approximately 7:30am. They then assisted with cleaning up and ventilating the property.

Neighbouring properties were also evacuated and all residents have been accounted for, including the family's dogs.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are being conducted by FRNSW's Fire Investigation and Research Unit.
