Boat Fire - Warners Bay

Early this morning at approximately 1:30am Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to reports of a boat well alight in Lake St, Warners Bay.

Crews from Cardiff were first on scene. They arrived to find a boat at the end of a pier fully ablaze.

The boat was fully destroyed and sunk, specialist Hazmat crews setup booms to prevent any fuel leaking.

Salvage crews will attend in the morning to retrieve the vessel. Overall five trucks in total from the Newcastle area attended this incident.
