Scrap Metal Fire - St Marys

30 firefighters are battling a large fire in a scrap metal yard at St Marys in Sydney's west.
Large volumes of thick black smoke could be seen from a distance as fire crews gained entry to the premises on Christie Street around 5pm.
Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have set up two ground monitors to contain the blaze.
Foam fire trucks have been called in to smother the fire.
