Aircraft crash - Gunnedah

Shortly before 2pm today Fire and Rescue NSW crews responded to a plane that has come off the runway at Gunnedah Airport.

Shortly after takeoff, the plane crashed into roadworks before coming to stop on grass.

Gunnedah Airport has been closed while firefighters work to contain a fuel spill which occured as a result of the crash. HAZMAT crews and the Rural Fire Service are also assisting.

NSW Police and Ambulance are in attendance, however no one has been injured.
