Aircraft Crash - Steam Plains

Fire and Rescue NSW has been called to a helicopter crash in Steam Plains in south-western NSW to assist in the rescue of the pilot.

At 12.04pm today FRNSW received a triple zero call reporting that a helicopter had crashed into powerlines and had brought down the powerlines on top of the aircraft in the crash.

Police are currently on scene and are reporting that the pilot requires rescue.

The area is in a remote location and an update will follow shortly.
