Car crash - person trapped - Ashfield

Shortly before 4pm, Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Ashfield and Burwood Fire Stations were called to a car accident on Frederick Street, Ashfield.
Crews arrived in minutes to find a car crashed into a tree. The driver was trapped in the vehicle requiring rescue.
The driver was extradited from the vehicle in a rescue that took crews less than ten minutes.
The driver was transported to hospital by Ambulance NSW.
Road closures were in place, but have since reopened. There may be increased traffic in the area. Drive with caution.
