Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) is continuing to carry out dozens of rescues and evacuations in flood zones across NSW.

FRNSW currently has specialist strike teams in Grafton and Lismore in the Northern Rivers, Moree in the North West, Barham, Deniliquin and Moama in the Riverina, and Dubbo in the Central West.

In the last 24 hours, crews in Moree have rescued multiple people and evacuated approximately 30 others, including elderly residents and children.

Across impacted communities, FRNSW strike teams are helping councils and other frontline agencies by inspecting river levels and flows, checking roads and assessing infrastructure.

FRNSW's Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems, or drones, continue to provide incident command centres with real-time situation reports as required.

With more heavy rainfalls, flash flooding and river rises forecast, FRNSW is urging locals to heed the NSW State Emergency Service (NSW SES) advice to never drive, ride or walk through floodwater - if it's flooded, forget it.
