FRNSW assists with flood evacuations and aerial surveillance - VIDEO - Regional NSW

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) has helped evacuate homes being threatened by floodwaters, and carried out aerial surveillance in the hardest-hit areas of the state.
FRNSW strike teams are currently positioned in Barraba, Moree and Narrabri in the North West, Warren in the Central West, and Barham and Moama in the Riverina.
FRNSW has also deployed its fleet of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), or drones, to help councils and other frontline agencies inspect critical infrastructure, assess damage and identify potential risks.
In Narrabri, crews have also helped evacuate 140 households deemed under threat of being inundated by floodwaters.
The RPAS footage also shows homes, streets and paddocks in Barraba swamped, in what's understood to be the town's first major flood in 58 years.
In Moama, FRNSW has been assisting vulnerable residents out of their homes and onto higher ground, as they brace for possible flooding along the Murray River and Edward River systems.
Each of the six FRNSW strike teams has also been helping locals fill sandbags, prepare their homes, and offering advice and reassurance.
All activities are being undertaken to assist the State Emergency Service-led response to the storms and floods.
