Truck jackknifed near M5 Motorway - Moorebank

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews are attending a hazardous materials incident near the M5 Motorway at Moorebank, in Sydney's south-west.

A truck jack-knifed on Moorebank Avenue, near Helles Avenue, around 2.45pm, rupturing its diesel fuel tanks.

A large amount of diesel has spilled onto the roadway.

Fire crews from Busby and Revesby are at the scene, containing the leaking fuel, along with specialist Hazmat firefighters.

Police are diverting traffic around the affected area.
