FRNSW investigates cause of major fire - VIDEO - St Ives

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) is continuing to investigate the cause of a house fire at St Ives, on Sydney's upper north shore.
The blaze broke out on Coppins Close around 8:20pm.
More than 40 firefighters attacked the flames, which towered above the roof of the two-storey building.
The occupants managed to escape without any injuries.
Due to the fire's intensity, FRNSW crews fought it from the yards of neighbouring properties deemed under threat.
They were assisted by a ladder truck which allowed them to attack the seat of the fire.
One firefighter sustained a minor eye injury and was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene.
It took fire crews two hours to gain control of the fire.
However, with the roof and walls partially collapsing, the home was deemed too dangerous for firefighters to enter to extinguish the blaze.
FRNSW trucks remained at the home throughout the night, dousing spot fires.
FRNSW's Fire Investigation and Research Unit (FIRU) is now on-scene, helping NSW Police determine where and how the fire started.
