Firefighters save three people from poisonous gas - Rosehill

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) firefighters have saved the lives of three people after they were overcome by carbon monoxide gas in a home at Rosehill, in Sydney's west.
Crews from Parramatta and Silverwater Fire Stations rushed to the Hope Street home just before 10.30pm last night and found one person unconscious and two others barely conscious.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters carried a man and woman, aged in their 70's, and another man, aged about 50, to safety.
Firefighters applied medical treatment to the patients, who were then transported to hospital.
Fire crews believe the residents were overcome by CO gas emanating from a faulty indoor heater.
FRNSW encourages the public to ensure heaters are regularly maintained.
Carbon monoxide is a colourless, odourless and tasteless gas that can render a person unconscious and prove deadly if allowed to build up in a confined space.
