Firefighters contain large building fire - Chippendale

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have contained a large fire in a building at Chippendale in inner Sydney.

The blaze is believed to have broken out in a bedroom on the second level of the Regent Street address just before 1.30pm.

No-one has been injured in the incident although FRNSW crews are extending a Bronto aerial appliance ladder to further check the level.

Six fire trucks and around 20 firefighters are at the scene, along with Police and NSW Ambulance.

The cause of the fire is still being determined.
