Truck crashes into apartment building - Neutral Bay

Published: 22 Jul 2022 04:13pm

A truck has crashed into an apartment building in Neutral Bay on Sydney's Lower North Shore this afternoon.

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews responded to the incident on Ben Boyd Road shortly after 2:30pm.

On arrival, they discovered the vehicle had struck a wall and a window on the ground floor of the three storey building.

Firefighters have now put in place measures to support the structural stability of the building before engineers can assess the extent of the damage.

The driver was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries.

Fortunately, no residents were in the immediate vicinity of the crash.

Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) when you are involved in or see a crash can be the difference between life and death.

The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
