Additional Fire and Rescue NSW Strike Teams deployed to flood zones - VIDEO - Orchard Hills

Five additional Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) Strike Teams have been sent into the Sydney flood zones today to assist clean-up and damage assessment efforts.
The crews were assembled and briefed this morning at FRNSW's Emergency Services Academy at Orchard Hills.
Tasked with various missions to clean-up flooded sites and carry out ground-based Rapid Damage Assessments (RDA's), a convoy of 25 vehicles, containing 80 personnel, rolled out towards the worst-affected areas, including the Hawkesbury area.
Additional damage assessments are being carried out by FRNSW drone teams, collecting aerial reconnaissance images, to assist SES Commanders at Emergency Operations Centres.
The 'real-time' data taken by the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), or drones, is speeding up the SES process to determine which evacuated residents are allowed to return to their homes.
