Fire and Rescue NSW drones conduct reconnaissance flights for SES flood effort -VIDEO - McGraths Hill

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) is deploying drones over Sydney's north-west to provide flood assessments to the State Emergency Service.
The FRNSW Aviation Unit has been operating Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) as "eyes in the sky" for the SES commanders, sending 'real-time' intelligence about flooded roads and access points, river levels, critical infrastructure and damaged homes and buildings.
The footage, taken around the Windsor-McGraths Hill area and fed back to the SES Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) at Vineyard, is providing crucial information to the lead flood response agency about where and how to deploy its resources, including Australian Defence Force personnel.
The footage, captured by the reconnaissance flights, also allows SES co-ordinators to prioritise door-knock and evacuation operations in the Hawkesbury-Nepean area.
