B-Double Truck Crash - Somersby

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) has attended a three vehicle crash this afternoon at Somersby, on the state's Central Coast.
A B-double tanker, carrying a load of nitrous oxide, jack-knifed on the Pacific Highway just after 3pm.
NSW Police closed at least one south-bound lane.
FRNSW Hazardous Material specialists were deployed to decant diesel fuel in the prime mover's tanks.
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) crews also attended the incident.
The NSW Rural Fire Service also assisting with fire protection.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) when you are involved in or see a crash can be the difference between life and death.
The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
