Truck Crash - Cobargo

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) are managing a Hazmat emergency involving a sewerage truck at Cobargo on the State's south coast.
The truck crashed on the side of the Princess Highway one kilometre south of Cobargo causing the overturned trailer to discharge 5,000 litres of sewerage.
FRNSW Hazardous Materials Specialists have contained the contaminants to prevent them from spreading to a nearby creek.
The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has been notified.
NSW Police, NSW Ambulance, and the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) are assisting.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) when you are involved in or see a crash can be the difference between life and death.
The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
