Car Crash-Pedestrian injured - Uralla

Published: 14 Mar 2022 11:31am

A pedestrian has been airlifted to hospital after being involved in a crash between a car and a minibus at Uralla in the state's Northern Tablelands earlier today.

Firefighters provided emergency medical care to the female patient after arriving first on scene at Maitland Street just after 7:00 am this morning.

Due to heavy fog, fire crews identified a safe area, eight kilometres south of Uralla for the NSW Ambulance helicopter to land.

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews assisted NSW Ambulance paramedics with the female patient until she could be transported.

The female has been airlifted to hospital and NSW Police have closed the road to traffic.

Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) when you are involved in or see a crash can be the difference between life and death.

The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
