Update - FRNSW activity in flood zones - Hawkesbury/Northern Rivers

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews continue to assist communities in their flood disaster clean-up efforts across the state.
FRNSW has carried out more than 2500 aerial and ground-based Rapid Damage Assessments of homes and critical infrastructure in Sydney and the Northern Rivers district, passing the information on to the State Emergency Service.
Along with the Rural Fire Service, FRNSW is continuing to operate a Base of Operations hub at Wollongbar near Lismore, housing hundreds of emergency service workers.
Throughout the flood emergency, firefighters, together with the SES and other emergency agencies, have rescued hundreds of people and animals.
They have dealt with landslides, Hazardous Materials incidents and flood-related vehicle crashes; cleaned up shops and essential businesses, and delivered food and supplies to remote, isolated communities by boat.
In the Northern Rivers today, in addition to emergency responses, eight FRNSW strike teams are continuing to help townships with the clean-up operations.
Another four strike teams are operating in the Hawkesbury area.
At McGrath's Hill and Mulgrave in Sydney's north-west, firefighters have been going door to door, contacting residents at more than 250 properties, checking on their welfare and determining their needs.
Across all the affected areas, crews have removed water from homes, ripped out water-logged flooring, removed ruined furniture, offered safety advice and provided basic first aid to people with minor injuries.
Crews will remain in the the flood-affected communities, helping where needed and ensuring they're prepared to respond to any emergency.
