Firefighters helping Coraki residents - VIDEO - Coraki

Firefighters are in the flood-ravaged town of Coraki today performing community liaison roles to help local residents get back on their feet.
Around 20 Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) firefighters are carrying out the vital community engagement role after floodwaters eased at the weekend, ending the town's four days of isolation.
The Coraki Fire Station, built on high ground, has become a community hub where people are getting vital goods and services.
Members of the public are being registered there as volunteers to help residents.
The FRNSW community liaison officers are assisting the people of Coraki with access to government departments, assessing community needs and gathering information for the State Emergency Service-led flood response.
