Dog stuck up tree - Update VIDEO - Lismore

A dog that spent three days stuck up a tree in the Lismore floodwaters, before being rescued by firefighters, has been reunited with her family.
"Winnie," the Bull Mastiff cross, let out a whimper last Wednesday as she lay entangled in a tree five metres off the ground in Union Street, South Lismore.
A firefighter, who was part of a Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crew dealing with a nearby fuel leak, borrowed a kayak and paddled to the tree, where he spotted Winnie.
A hook was fashioned and the dog rescued.
It's believed she was washed away by the floodwaters and then trapped when the water subsided.
Winnie was taken to a veterinary clinic where staff were forced to remove a hind leg, due to her injuries.
Thankfully, Winnie has been reunited with her family.
The family, including eight children, has lost everything in the floods but is overjoyed their beloved dog has survived.
