Explosion - Mount Kuring-Gai

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews are at the scene of an explosion at a home in Mount Kuring-Gai in Sydney's northern suburbs.
Emergency services arrived at the Low Street home just before 10am and treated a 50-year-old woman, with burns to 80 per cent of her body, lying in the front garden.
Firefighters assisted paramedics to stabilise the patient and carry her to the waiting Ambulance.
The Careflight helicopter could not be used to transport the woman to hospital due to the severe weather.
FRNSW investigators are trying to determine the cause of the explosion.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for a fire emergency can be the difference between life and death, or a building or other property being saved or destroyed.
The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
