House Fire - Blue Haven

Published: 09 Feb 2022 01:31pm

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have extinguished a house fire at Blue Haven on the state's Central Coast.

Four fire trucks arrived at the Pinehurst Way address around 1.30 this afternoon after reports a candle had fallen over and started the blaze in a rear bedroom of the home.

Firefighters put on breathing apparatus, ensured the home was cleared of occupants and went to work, dousing the flames.

A male resident was transported to hospital with smoke inhalation.

Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for a fire emergency can be the difference between life and death, or a building or other property being saved or destroyed.

The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
