Tinny Capsize - Penrith

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews are at the scene of a capsized boat on the Nepean River near Penrith.
The tinny, carrying five people, flipped over just after 12.30 this afternoon after it unintentionally went over the Penrith Weir.
FRNSW crews from Regentville Fire Station, including flood water rescue experts, have joined a multi agency response to the emergency, searching for the occupants of the boat.
Members of NSW Ambulance, the NSW State Emergency Service and NSW Police have also joined the effort to locate those thrown out of the boat.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for an emergency can be the difference between life and death.
The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
