Truck into creek - Berkshire Park

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have stopped a truck toppling into a creek at Berkshire Park in Sydney's west.
Crews were called to the truck, which had veered off Sirius Place and was teetering on the edge of the flowing creek, just before 11.30am today.
Hazardous Materials procedures were immediately enacted to ensure no fluids were leaked into the waterway.
Ambulance officers treated the driver at the scene for minor back pain.
A specialist tow truck was called in to winch the truck out of the water.
The road was closed in both directions during the incident.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) when you are involved in or see a crash can be the difference between life and death.
The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said a large amount of electrical energy is discharged when lightning strikes a house, tree or car.
Community members are urged to keep up to date with local weather events that may impact their area.
"During a storm, stay indoors where possible to protect yourself, your loved ones and your pets. However, in the event of a fire, get out, stay out and call Triple Zero (000).”
