Published: 06 Jan 2022 09:15am

Crews from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) have assisted two injured workers following a structural collapse at a residential construction site in Kings Langley near Parramatta in Sydney's West.

Firefighters provided immediate medical first response to two men aged in their 30's suffering lacerations from the collapse on Perry Street just after 9:00 AM this morning.

Crews also established an exclusion zone around the construction site to ensure the structural safety of the rest of the building.

NSW Ambulance treated the two men on scene for their injuries and the site has been handed over to Safe Work Australia to investigate.

Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for an emergency can be the difference between life and death.

The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
