Toddler Rescue - Engadine

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have rescued a two-year-old girl, locked in a hot car at Engadine, in Sydney's south.
Firefighters were called to Cooper Street just after 1pm today.
They found the toddler alone, locked in a small hatchback, near a park.
The crews quickly accessed the vehicle and retrieved the child.
Together with NSW Ambulance paramedics, they assessed the girl for heat and stress-related symptoms.
Acting Superintendent, Tim Hassiotis, from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW), warns this incident serves as a timely reminder not to leave children or pets alone in vehicles, no matter how briefly.
"Even on a mild day, temperatures inside vehicles can reach dangerous, life-threatening levels very quickly."
