Cat stuck in wall - Jannali

A Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crew has rescued a pet cat after it spent around 12 hours stuck between two walls at a home at Jannali, in Sydney's south.
The adult male, named "Whisky," was discovered wedged between a retaining wall and the exterior wall of an adjoining business in Railway Crescent.
The crew from Engadine Fire Station arrived just after 11.30am today and was told "Whisky" had fallen into the very tight gap late last night.
Amazed the cat was able to fit in the cavity, about the width of a soft drink can, the firefighters first tried to gently nudge him towards an exit point, using a ceiling hook.
But "Whisky" was unable to move.
Measuring the retaining wall, the crew realised it could carefully remove a section of brickwork with tools, including a chisel and cordless hammer drill.
After just over an hour's work, the Fire and Rescue team caught its first glimpse of "Whisky" and carefully removed him, unharmed.
"Whisky" was reunited with his owner...the FRNSW crew happy it was able to pull off the "purr-fect" rescue.
