Truck into house extrication - Burradoo

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have attended a property at Burradoo, in the state's Southern Highlands, where a semi-trailer has crashed into a home.
Crews were called to the address in Foldgarth Way, near Bowral, just after midday.
When they arrived, they found the semi, carrying two shipping containers, wedged into the garage.
With no-one home and the driver uninjured, FRNSW Technical Rescue crews and the State Emergency Service formed a plan to call in a FRNSW Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team to carefully extricate the rig.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) when you are involved in or see a crash can be the difference between life and death.
The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said a large amount of electrical energy is discharged when lightning strikes a house, tree or car.
Community members are urged to keep up to date with local weather events that may impact their area.
"During a storm, stay indoors where possible to protect yourself, your loved ones and your pets. However, in the event of a fire, get out, stay out and call Triple Zero (000).”
