Shop Fire - 7A Ware St, Fairfield

In the early evening yesterday Fire and Rescue NSW were responded to a unit fire in a shopping complex which threatened to engulf the surrounding shops.
Over 40 Fire Fighters responded along with Hazmat trucks and a Ladder Platform to quickly bring the fire under control and contain it to a single unit.
The fire originally started in a bedroom. All occupants were safely evacuated and the scene was handed over to NSW Police.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for an emergency can be the difference between life and death.
